Price transparency

What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.

Maximus offers online weight-management care within a larger performance-medicine service. Its current compounded tirzepatide page publishes several commitment lengths, with the lowest monthly equivalent attached to a twelve-month plan. Branded Wegovy and Zepbound have separate pathways. The useful distinction is flexibility: a lower displayed equivalent can carry a longer payment obligation, and the terms say ordinary cancellation during a commitment can leave remaining payments due. Compare the whole term and exact preparation before deciding whether that tradeoff fits your needs.

The verdict

Public prices describe specific visits, offers or commitments. They do not establish one unconditional ongoing monthly medication total.

The score beside Maximus's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

What do you get with Maximus?

  • An online health questionnaire and clinician assessment through affiliated Maximus Medical Group practices. The terms distinguish Maximus Health, Inc. from the medical practices responsible for care, and allow additional affiliated practices for some services.
  • A compounded tirzepatide pathway with individualized prescribing and several plan lengths. The treatment page identifies it as compounded and not FDA-approved, rather than a generic version of an approved brand.
  • Separate brand-name weight-care pages, including Wegovy pens and Zepbound. Their commercial and clinical arrangements should be compared independently from the compounded tirzepatide plan rather than assigned its lowest equivalent.
  • Direct-pay clinical support and delivery described in the service. Testing can be relevant to the assessment; ask which labs, visits and supplies are included in the exact order and which carry separate charges.

How does Maximus work?

  1. Choose the clinical pathway

Identify whether you are asking about a brand-name medication, a compounded preparation or another program in the broader catalog. The same company offers hormone and longevity services, but those are separate decisions. Ask the clinician to explain the intended weight-management prescription and the care you need without assuming additional products are necessary to join.

  2. Complete assessment and any requested tests

Provide the medical questionnaire and discuss relevant prior treatment. The clinical practice can request testing before prescribing. Ask which professional practice handles your case, whether a live visit is required in your state and how results are reviewed. A completed shopping flow or a performance-medicine goal does not guarantee eligibility for a particular medicine.

  3. Compare total commitment, not installments

The tirzepatide page presents two-, four-, six- and twelve-month arrangements. Ask for the actual initial payment, installment schedule, total obligation and renewal date. Financing changes how payments are spread out; it does not turn a longer commitment into a freely cancelable monthly purchase. Keep a copy of the selected plan so future billing is understandable.

  4. Arrange follow-up and future changes

Confirm the route for medical questions, how dose changes affect supply and when another evaluation is required. Before the commitment ends, review the renewal notice and decide whether continuing the same arrangement makes sense. If a health issue prevents continued care, contact the clinician and billing team rather than assuming an ordinary subscription cancellation resolves the remaining balance.

How much does Maximus cost?

Semaglutide

Brand-name semaglutide pathways offered; selected medication and complete ongoing month-to-month total not established.

Tirzepatide

Compounded tirzepatide equivalents: $199.99/mo for 2 months, $149.99 for 4, $119.99 for 6 or $99.99 for 12; ongoing month-to-month total not established.

Where it operates

All 50 states except Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana; confirm the selected treatment and pharmacy

The compounded tirzepatide page shows $199.99 per month on a two-month plan, $149.99 on four months, $119.99 on six months and $99.99 on twelve months. Those are qualified term prices, with installment financing also advertised. They do not establish an unrestricted month-to-month purchase. Brand-name semaglutide has a separate pathway; for a comparable complete bill the complete selected-plan bill still needs confirmation.

  • The savings-plan terms say cancellation during a commitment generally leaves remaining monthly fees due. A plan can therefore feel monthly because of installments while still creating a longer financial obligation.
  • The same terms provide an exception for health-related inability to continue as determined by a healthcare provider, potentially requiring documentation. Medication already shipped remains nonrefundable; obtain the specific decision and remaining balance in writing.
  • Renewal is described as another term of the same duration at the then-current rate unless canceled. The terms describe at least 30 days of notice for an upcoming renewal or pricing change. Check the member portal rather than relying on the original promotional amount.
  • The tirzepatide page excludes Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Confirm the selected product in any other state as well, particularly if considering a different brand or preparation; one treatment page’s access statement should not be generalized across the catalog.

Who is Maximus best for?

A good fit if

  • Adults comfortable with a defined multi-month commitment
  • People who want to compare brand and compounded pathways separately
  • Shoppers prepared to review renewal notices and an itemized treatment quote

Look elsewhere if

  • Anyone requiring a one-month purchase with no remaining obligation

What are Maximus's pros and cons?

Pros

  • Several commitment lengths are displayed together
  • The terms explain remaining payments and renewal arrangements
  • The compounded pathway publishes specific state exclusions

Cons

  • The lowest monthly equivalent requires a twelve-month term
  • Ordinary mid-term cancellation may leave future payments due
  • Brand-name costs need a separate comparison and quotation

The pharmacy behind the medicine

It does not name its pharmacy. Maximus does not publicly disclose which compounding pharmacy fills its prescriptions. That is common and it is not an accusation — but it does mean the one thing you would most want to verify about a compounded medicine is the one thing you cannot.

A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.

What else do people ask about Maximus?

Is $99.99 a no-commitment monthly tirzepatide price?

No. The current page attaches that equivalent to a twelve-month plan. Shorter plans display higher equivalents. Ask for the total committed amount and payment schedule. An installment or financing option can spread charges across time without removing the underlying obligation to pay for the selected term.

Can I stop paying if I cancel early?

The savings-plan terms generally preserve the remaining payment obligation after ordinary mid-term cancellation. They separately address health-related inability to continue, with a provider determination and possible documentation. Request the applicable process before joining if financial flexibility is a deciding factor; do not assume canceling a renewal erases the current commitment.

Are brand-name medications covered by the same advertised price?

Wegovy and Zepbound have separate product pathways. The compounded tirzepatide amount should not be reused as their price. Obtain the actual brand, dose, medication payment and clinical-service amount for your selected route, including the role of any insurance, manufacturer program or separately purchased service.

Who provides the medical care?

The current terms identify Maximus Health, Inc. as the platform company and Maximus Medical Group practices as the clinical entities, with other affiliated practices possible for some offerings. Ask which practice and prescriber handle your own care and how to contact them for a medication concern.

Which states are excluded from the compounded tirzepatide offer?

The specific treatment page excludes Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Confirm current access for your location during intake and ask about the actual dispensing pharmacy. A broad national marketing description should not override a preparation-specific restriction or be applied automatically to a different medication pathway.

What happens when my commitment ends?

The terms describe automatic renewal for another term of the same duration unless canceled, at the rate provided in the renewal notice. Review that notice and the portal before the renewal date. Keep treatment continuity separate from the billing decision so you can discuss alternatives with your clinician if you do not renew.
