About Gut Metabolic

A clearer view of gut health.

Research, products and treatment choices can tell very different stories. We help you understand the evidence, the costs and the questions worth asking.

Why this publication exists

A familiar ingredient name, a large bacterial count or a low introductory price can make a decision look easier than it is. The useful details often sit a little further down the page.

Gut Metabolic brings those details into focus. We explain what a study actually tested, how closely a product matches it, and what a service asks you to pay or commit to. The goal is to give you a more useful starting point for a purchase decision or a conversation with your clinician.

Founder and publisher Alex Bennett brings a background in technology and consumer research, having started and built multiple consumer brands through several exits while continuing to build new businesses. That experience shapes a practical editorial focus: what a claim means, what a product costs, and what a buyer needs to know.

Our coverage connects everyday digestive questions with the wider picture of metabolic health, including nutrition during GLP-1 treatment. It is educational information, not a diagnosis or an individual treatment plan.

How we put a page together

Follow the source

Medical and efficacy claims link to primary research or official guidance. Company pages establish published ingredients, service features and terms; their marketing claims are distinguished from independent evidence.

Keep the limits visible

A small human trial, an animal study and a study of a finished product answer different questions. We explain the population, preparation and outcome before drawing conclusions. Ingredient evidence does not automatically transfer to every bottle containing it.

Be clear about the review

Our reviews assess published information. They do not imply that we received treatment, personally used every product or tested a sample in a laboratory. AI tools assist with research organization and drafting; they are not a medical reviewer. The byline identifies the publisher, and an individual clinical review is not implied.

Date the information that changed

A revision date reflects a substantive update. A price-check date applies to the offer or terms checked then. Prices, formulas and availability can change afterward. If something needs correcting, send us the page and the supporting source.

How the site is funded

Some companies pay us a commission when you purchase through our links. Partners are identified on the page and listed first in comparisons. Commercial relationships can affect placement.

Our prescription transparency score concerns published pricing and disclosed program information. It is not a rating of medical effectiveness, safety or the care you will receive. Unpaid providers can also be reviewed.
