Price transparency
What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.
QuickMD offers a $99 online weight-loss consultation with a licensed clinician and, when appropriate, a prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy. Medication costs extra, and there is no membership or long-term commitment for the advertised consultation service. It suits someone who wants a medical visit and control over where a branded prescription is filled, rather than one bundled medication subscription.
QuickMD does not pay us. We review it so you can compare it with the programs that do. Disclosure
QuickMD publishes its price before the medical intake — you can see what it costs without handing over your health history first.

The verdict
QuickMD shows its price before the medical intake, but leaves gaps, such as what the advertised price includes or which pharmacy fills the prescription. It ranks 149 of 293 on price transparency.
The score beside QuickMD's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

What do you get with QuickMD?
- A phone or video consultation to discuss medical history, weight-management goals, medication suitability and budget. A prescription depends on clinical judgment.
- Access to named branded options including Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelsus, Mounjaro and Zepbound when appropriate; each prescription has its own indication and pharmacy cost.
- Prescription transmission to a pharmacy you choose, allowing you to compare local fulfillment and insurance benefits rather than relying on one mail-order bundle.
- Online booking with same-day appointments advertised and availability seven days a week, subject to clinician availability and your state.
- No advertised membership or long-term commitment for the $99 visit; established patients may qualify for a 90-day prescription at the clinician’s discretion.
How does QuickMD work?
Confirm your treatment and location
Select the weight-loss visit and confirm your physical location. The treatment page explicitly excludes Louisiana even though QuickMD’s wider company description mentions all 50 states. Book the service actually available to you, and ask whether a phone or video visit is required for your situation.
Check your pharmacy benefits
Before the appointment, ask your insurer about coverage for the medicine and indication you want to discuss. QuickMD’s fee pays for care, not the prescription. A pharmacy can give the most useful estimate when it knows the product, strength, quantity and your insurance details.
Meet the clinician
Discuss medical history, current medicines and any previous weight-loss treatment. QuickMD contracts with QuickMD Medical Group, P.A. and independent medical practices for clinical care. The provider can recommend another approach or decline a requested medication; completing the visit does not guarantee a particular prescription.
Fill and plan follow-up
If prescribed, contact your pharmacy about stock, actual price and pickup. Confirm when you need another medical visit and whether a longer prescription supply is appropriate after you are established. Keep care and pharmacy receipts separate so you can see the cost of both over time.
How much does QuickMD cost?
Brand-name semaglutide options; $99 consult, medication extra and visit frequency individual; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
Brand-name tirzepatide options; $99 consult, medication extra and visit frequency individual; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
All 50 states except Louisiana; confirm service-specific prescribing access
The current weight-loss page advertises $99 per consultation. It expressly excludes medication, whose cost depends on the drug, dose, pharmacy and prescription benefits. No membership or long-term commitment is required for that service. A $99 consultation should not be compared with an all-inclusive monthly semaglutide or tirzepatide plan as though it includes the same medication supply.
- The number of visits and length of each prescription determine your ongoing care expense. Established patients may qualify for 90-day prescriptions, but that is not a guarantee that every new patient needs only one appointment per quarter.
- The refund policy treats a completed phone or video consultation as a delivered service. It is generally nonrefundable even if the clinician concludes that the requested drug is inappropriate. Pay for an evaluation with that possibility in mind.
- Cancel or reschedule at least one hour before the appointment. Missing the visit or canceling inside that window can cause a $35 deduction from the visit credit. Use the account or support route early and retain confirmation.
- Refund requests for eligible credits must be made within 30 days of the original charge. Promotional credits have separate limitations. Ask whether a cancellation creates account credit or an original-payment refund instead of assuming the two are identical.
- QuickMD’s broader refund policy also discusses directly shipped medication. For the advertised local-pharmacy weight-loss route, the chosen pharmacy’s dispensing and payment terms matter; a general platform policy does not guarantee that another pharmacy will refund an order.
- If a recommended medication is unavailable, ask the pharmacist and clinician about the next step before booking another paid service. Confirm whether a prescription clarification is handled as support or requires a new consultation.

What are QuickMD's pros and cons?
Pros
- The visit fee and medication exclusion are plainly stated
- No standing membership is required for the advertised visit
- A local pharmacy can receive an approved prescription
- The refund policy gives a concrete cancellation window and late fee
Cons
- Medication and future visit costs must be budgeted separately
- A completed consultation generally remains payable without a prescription
- State-specific exclusions are narrower than the company’s broader reach
- Same-day visits do not guarantee medication availability at the pharmacy
The pharmacy behind the medicine
It does not name its pharmacy. QuickMD does not publicly disclose which compounding pharmacy fills its prescriptions. That is common and it is not an accusation — but it does mean the one thing you would most want to verify about a compounded medicine is the one thing you cannot.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
What else do people ask about QuickMD?
Does the $99 fee include semaglutide or tirzepatide?
No. It covers a weight-loss consultation. Medication is purchased separately from your pharmacy, with the final amount determined by the product, dose, quantity and coverage. Ask for both the care schedule and pharmacy cost before estimating what several months of treatment would cost.
Can I use my own pharmacy?
Yes. The current weight-loss FAQ says the clinician can send an approved prescription to a local pharmacy. Confirm stock and insurance processing directly with that pharmacy. Prescription transmission and a completed consultation do not guarantee that the medicine will be available at a particular price.
Is there a membership to cancel?
The advertised weight-loss consultation has no membership fee or long-term commitment. You still need to cancel or reschedule a booked visit on time. If another optional product is offered during checkout, read its terms separately rather than assuming every service uses the same payment model.
What if the doctor does not prescribe my requested medicine?
The visit is an evaluation, and the clinician decides whether a medication is appropriate. QuickMD’s policy generally does not refund a completed consultation merely because the desired prescription is declined. Bring a complete medical history and discuss alternatives and costs during the appointment.
How early must I cancel my appointment?
The policy asks for at least one hour before the scheduled start. Late cancellation or a missed visit can reduce your visit credit by $35. Eligible refund requests must generally be made within 30 days of the original charge, so contact support promptly if you need money returned rather than account credit.
Is QuickMD weight-loss care available nationwide?
The company describes a national network, but the current weight-loss treatment page specifically says the service is not available in Louisiana. Check your state and consultation requirements during booking. Availability for another QuickMD service does not establish access to the same weight-loss prescription route.
