Price transparency
What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.
NextMeds offers online GLP-1 evaluation, prescribing and pharmacy fulfillment through a self-pay program. Its public promotion starts at $49 for GLP-1 and $119 for GLP-1/GIP, but the actual term and medication-specific renewal charge need confirmation. The most important purchase condition is its strict final-sale policy: cancellation stops future billing, generally requires 72 hours’ notice and does not automatically refund an unused prepaid term.
NextMeds does not pay us. We review it so you can compare it with the programs that do. Disclosure

The verdict
NextMeds shows its price before the medical intake and is clear about what that price covers and what conditions come with it. It ranks 37 of 293 among the programs we review on price transparency.
The score beside NextMeds's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

How does NextMeds work?
Identify the actual program and promotion
The homepage emphasizes a $49 starting figure, while the legal-page banner separately advertises GLP-1/GIP from $119 and an October 21 offer deadline. Confirm which drug and form the price applies to, whether it requires a longer purchase and whether the rate persists at renewal. A broad GLP-1 headline cannot define every option in the treatment menu.
Complete the medical assessment
Submit medical history, current prescriptions and prior treatment details. NextMeds describes either live video or asynchronous review under the applicable state rules. The medical practice decides whether treatment is suitable. Do not assume a completed intake or accepted payment guarantees a prescription, a specific dose or the same medication you used elsewhere.
Read the payment term before authorizing it
The refund policy treats a multi-month bundle as one indivisible purchase. Ask for the total term, supply and next billing date rather than relying on a monthly equivalent. The public page alternates between no-membership marketing and membership language in its FAQ; regardless of the label, the legal agreement describes recurring subscription obligations.
Arrange pharmacy delivery and future changes
The company identifies a network including RedRock, Health Warehouse, Precision Medicine and Triad Rx, but the actual dispensing assignment must be confirmed. Inspect the prescription and package on arrival and retain the pharmacy contact. If you want to stop future purchases, use the portal or support and leave at least 72 hours before the next charge.
How much does NextMeds cost?
GLP-1 promotion from $49; selected term, formulation and renewal require confirmation; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
GLP-1/GIP promotion from $119, offer deadline October 21; selected term unresolved; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
Company advertises all-state membership; prescribing and pharmacy access vary by treatment and state.
The reviewed public promotion advertises GLP-1 from $49 and GLP-1/GIP from $119, with a stated October 21 deadline and same-price messaging. These offer descriptions do not establish a fully qualified ongoing month-to-month total for the actual medication and plan selected. The FAQ says program pricing includes telehealth consultation, a care plan, prescription fulfillment if appropriate and shipping. Obtain the complete order summary before payment.
- The cancellation and refund policy, updated August 25, 2026, says payments are final at purchase, including single-month and bundled plans. Not completing an intake, not attending a consultation or declining a prescription does not ordinarily create a refund right.
- Cancel through the patient portal where available or by contacting patient support. The request must arrive at least 72 hours before the next billing date. A request inside that window can leave the next charge due and nonrefundable, with cancellation delayed until the following cycle.
- A multi-month bundle is sold as one full-term commitment. Timely cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not prorate unused months, unshipped medication or services not used during the current purchased term.
- Provider-initiated medical disqualification is the stated exception. The company deducts services already used, which can include clinical review, consultations, issued prescriptions, medication and laboratory services. That exception is not necessarily a full refund of the first payment.
- For damaged or incorrect items, the policy describes pharmacy replacement as the sole remedy rather than a refund. Report concerns promptly with evidence. The policy’s legal assertions about prescription returns are company statements, not a reason to assume all consumer rights disappear.
- The terms distinguish NextMeds from platform operator OpenLoop and the treating practices. They cap certain combined liabilities at the greater of $100 or amounts paid during the preceding twelve months, subject to applicable law. Confirm which organization handles clinical, pharmacy and billing concerns.

What are NextMeds's pros and cons?
Pros
- The current refund policy spells out the major cancellation consequences
- The FAQ identifies its dispensing network and different consultation formats
- Care and delivery are described together rather than requiring separate clinic visits
Cons
- Low public offers do not settle the plan length or exact renewal quote
- The refund policy is restrictive from payment rather than shipment
- A missed 72-hour deadline can result in another nonrefundable billing cycle
The pharmacy behind the medicine
It names its pharmacy. NextMeds discloses RedRock Pharmacy, Health Warehouse, Precision Medicine, Triad Rx as its compounding partners. That matters more here than the price does: a compounded medicine is only as good as the pharmacy that made it, and a company willing to name one is a company you can go and check.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
What else do people ask about NextMeds?
Is the $49 headline a complete recurring quote?
It is a public starting offer, and another banner advertises GLP-1/GIP from $119. Confirm medication, formulation, term, total upfront payment and renewal before treating either as your ongoing monthly total. The reviewed promotion also carries an October 21 deadline.
How much notice is needed to cancel?
The legal policy requires the request at least 72 hours before the next billing date. Inside that period, another charge can occur and remain nonrefundable. Use the portal where available or patient support, and keep confirmation of when the request was received.
Can I get a refund if I never finish the intake?
The published policy says non-use, including not completing intake or a consultation, does not qualify for a refund after payment. That makes resolving basic access, affordability and commitment questions before purchase particularly important.
What happens to an unused prepaid bundle?
The policy treats it as one indivisible full-term purchase. Cancellation stops future renewal, while the already purchased term remains nonrefundable in whole or in part. It specifically includes unused months and periods in which no medication was shipped.
What if the clinician says I am ineligible?
Provider-initiated medical disqualification can qualify the unused portion for a refund, but completed services are deducted. Clinical review, consultation, prescriptions, medication and labs may count as used services. Ask how those deductions apply to your actual payment.
Is every medication available in every state?
The FAQ advertises membership across all 50 states while qualifying provider availability and prescribing authority. Confirm your actual medication and pharmacy route. Membership access alone is not a guarantee that every listed product can be prescribed and shipped to your address.
