Contour Health review
By Gut Metabolic EditorialUpdated
Price transparency
What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.
Contour Health sells compounded weight-care medication by the vial, with a free initial consultation and no weight-loss subscription or automatic refill. That makes the actual vial quote more useful than converting its weekly starting figures into a monthly promise. Its current pages describe online care across 46 states, beginning with a video visit and continuing largely through messaging. The main buying questions are the vial’s total price, how long it lasts at the prescribed dose and what happens if plans change after purchase.
Contour Health does not pay us. We review it so you can compare it with the programs that do. Disclosure

The verdict
Public prices describe specific visits, offers or commitments. They do not establish one unconditional ongoing monthly medication total.
The score beside Contour Health's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

What do you get with Contour Health?
- An initial video consultation and medical review, followed by an individualized prescription decision. The service says consultation, ongoing check-ins and shipping are included with medication rather than charged as separate membership fees.
- Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide injections, with medication and supplies delivered to the patient. The weight-loss page qualifies starting prices by dose and describes two-month vials. Actual duration needs confirmation for the assigned regimen.
- Provider contact by text, with at least every-two-week check-ins described in the FAQ and video follow-up available on request. The weekday response expectation is about 24 hours, which should not be treated as immediate or emergency availability.
- A manual reorder model for weight care. Around two weeks before running out, patients contact the provider to review progress and choose the next vial before payment and ordering. Separate hair-loss subscriptions have different rules and should not be applied to GLP-1 orders.
How does Contour Health work?
Obtain a vial-based quote
The starting figures are $30 per week for semaglutide and $50 per week for tirzepatide. Ask for the total vial charge, total active ingredient, included supplies and estimated duration under the prescribed plan. A weekly equivalent is useful only when its supply assumptions match your prescription. Avoid treating four weeks as a calendar month or assuming every dose costs the same.
Attend the initial online consultation
The FAQ describes an initial video visit, followed mainly by secure messaging. Confirm your physical location and whether the assigned provider can treat you there. The service currently excludes Michigan, Mississippi, Kentucky and Arkansas. Provide a complete history and prior prescriptions; the clinician determines whether remote care and any proposed medication are suitable.
Identify the actual dispensing pharmacy
The site describes a compounding-pharmacy partner but does not establish one named dispenser for every reviewed order. Ask for the pharmacy identity, preparation, added ingredients, concentration and label before fulfillment. Do not interpret a marketing image or accreditation statement as the specific label or evidence about the exact prescription that will arrive.
Reorder deliberately and retain the terms
Weight-care refills are ordered after discussion with the provider, without automatic renewal. That reduces the need to cancel future recurring charges, but it does not create a refund right for purchased medication. The terms say products are nonrefundable. Confirm whether an order can still be stopped before processing and retain any written exception offered for your situation.
How much does Contour Health cost?
Compounded semaglutide from $30/week, sold by the vial with dose-dependent supply; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
Compounded tirzepatide from $50/week, sold by the vial with dose-dependent supply; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
Confirm clinical service and location eligibility. Online initial video care in 46 states; excludes MI, MS, KY, AR
The public starting figures describe compounded semaglutide from $30 per week and tirzepatide from $50 per week, with medication sold by the vial. Consultation, supplies, shipping and continuing provider access are described as included. The total depends on the selected vial and prescribed dose, rather than a universal recurring monthly subscription. The ongoing month-to-month total not established qualification therefore remains appropriate for both medications until a complete personalized vial quote is available.
- The weekly figures should not be multiplied into a guaranteed monthly charge. Confirm the actual paid amount and supply before comparing with a medicine-inclusive monthly plan.
- No subscription applies to the weight-loss products described in the FAQ. Other product lines, including hair treatment, have automatic refills with separate cancellation rules.
- The terms identify Desert Contour LLC doing business as Contour Health. Confirm the name of the actual treating professional and pharmacy on the clinical and dispensing records.
- All purchased products are described as nonrefundable. A free consultation and manual reorder process do not establish free cancellation after a medication order is accepted.

What are Contour Health's pros and cons?
Pros
- Weight care has no subscription or automatic refill
- The FAQ describes follow-up and reorder steps
- The website states the four state exclusions
Cons
- Starting weekly figures do not establish a universal vial total
- The reviewed pages do not identify one named dispenser
- Purchased products have restrictive refund terms
The pharmacy behind the medicine
It does not name its pharmacy. Contour Health does not publicly disclose which compounding pharmacy fills its prescriptions. That is common and it is not an accusation — but it does mean the one thing you would most want to verify about a compounded medicine is the one thing you cannot.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
What else do people ask about Contour Health?
Does Contour charge a monthly membership?
The weight-care FAQ says no membership, subscription or automatic refill applies. Patients pay for medication by the vial after agreeing the next order with the provider. Keep this separate from other treatments on the same site, which can have their own recurring billing arrangements.
How much will my first order cost?
The website gives weekly starting equivalents, with the actual price depending on dose and vial selection. Request the full order amount and expected supply before paying. Ask whether the planned regimen or a later adjustment changes how long the vial lasts; the headline alone does not answer that question.
Is the consultation online?
The initial consultation is described as a video visit, with most continuing contact handled through messaging. Confirm the actual appointment format and your location eligibility. Remote review does not guarantee a prescription, and your clinician may need further information before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.
How often can I contact the provider?
The FAQ describes check-ins at least every two weeks, the ability to message more frequently and video follow-up on request. A roughly 24-hour weekday reply expectation is described. Ask what to do outside those hours and use appropriate urgent care for a time-sensitive medical concern.
Who supplies the medication?
The service describes a partner compounding pharmacy but the reviewed public pages do not establish one named dispenser for every order. Request the assigned pharmacy and actual preparation before fulfillment. Compounded prescriptions should be distinguished from branded products even when the active ingredient has the same name.
Can I cancel or return a vial?
The terms describe purchased products as nonrefundable. Contact the team promptly if you need to stop an order, and ask whether processing has begun and whether any exception applies. Manual reordering prevents an automatic next order but does not establish a return right for medication already purchased.
