Ritual Synbiotic+ is a convenient daily gut supplement with named strains and a premium price. Its strongest selling point is simplicity: several ingredients in one capsule. Its main drawback is that a sophisticated formula still needs evidence for the particular result you want. Someone shopping for occasional digestive support has a different decision from someone hoping to change their weight or glucose.
This is a review of the published formula, purchase terms and research, rather than a personal trial. Product details were checked on Ritual's site in October 2026 1.
What is in Synbiotic+?
The daily capsule contains LGG and BB-12 probiotics totaling 11 billion CFU, 15 mg PreforPro bacteriophages and 300 mg tributyrin. The phages are different from the gram quantities of dietary fiber found in foods or fiber powders. Buying this capsule does not replace a fiber-rich diet 1. See prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics for the differences.
Named strains help you compare the label with published research. But a familiar strain name is the beginning of that comparison. The dose, intended use and people studied still matter 2. A formula with several categories of ingredients is not automatically better than one well-chosen ingredient.
Before you decide
Judge the daily routine and the renewal cost
- One capsule combines several types of gut ingredients.
- A strain publication list does not establish every benefit of the finished formula.
- Compare the regular monthly cost, not just a welcome offer.
How much does it cost?
Ritual's page displayed a $43.20 promotion against a $54 regular subscription price. Its welcome-offer terms say later orders renew at full retail price. One-time purchase was $61.36 plus $10.99 shipping, or $72.35 before any tax. The bottle has 30 servings; the regular subscription therefore works out to $1.80 per day 1.
Compare the renewal price with what you would otherwise buy, rather than with the launch discount. A subscription can make a daily routine easier, but convenience loses its appeal if the capsules stay unopened. If you prefer paying once, the higher one-time total materially changes the value calculation.
What should you expect from the evidence?
Probiotic benefits are tied to a particular strain, dose and use; the general probiotic consensus does not certify every combination containing that strain 2. The appropriate question is whether a trial studied this finished formula for your symptom, rather than whether LGG or BB-12 appears in a long publication list.
Tributyrin also deserves a separate judgment. It is included as a butyrate-related ingredient, but a plausible gut-barrier mechanism cannot tell you how much better you will feel. Our tributyrin guide explains that distinction. Do not purchase Synbiotic+ on the assumption that combining pre-, pro- and postbiotic ingredients proves a metabolic benefit.
Who might prefer it?
A person who wants one capsule, a clearly identified pair of strains and an uncomplicated refill routine may find Ritual easier to stick with than several separate supplements. The premium makes less sense if your main need is dietary fiber, or if you are simply trying to find the cheapest way to try LGG. Culturelle's single-strain approach provides a useful comparison; Seed's review looks at a different multistrain formula and its product studies.
Set a specific goal before ordering: for example, fewer troublesome days of bloating. Keep other changes modest so you can judge whether the expense is helping. Persistent symptoms deserve assessment rather than an indefinite sequence of new supplements.
Our verdict
Ritual's case is strongest on convenience and labeling. Its case is weaker as a necessary addition to an already comfortable gut. If the regular renewal cost fits your budget and you have a defined digestive goal, it is worth comparing with simpler options on our probiotic board. The ingredient count alone is not a reason to pay more.
