IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials Pro is a premium nutrition powder with probiotics, fiber and a substantial multivitamin component. Its convenience is easier to establish than its promise of better digestion. The current PRO formula differs from the original product behind its headline trial, and that trial used a usual-diet control rather than a placebo.
This review evaluates the currently sold Açaí + Mixed Berries PRO sachets using the official label, purchase terms and trial registration. It is a research-based assessment; we have not taste-tested the product or measured personal results. The official product page provides the selected flavor and checkout terms 2.
What is actually in a serving?
The linked PRO label specifies one 13.6 g sachet, 3 g dietary fiber and a combined 10 billion CFU probiotic complex containing Bacillus coagulans BC99 and Bacillus subtilis DE111. It separately lists 25 mg of Lactobacillus casei FloraSMART postbiotic. Individual CFU allocations are not provided 1. Calling the blend “10 billion” therefore does not tell you how much of each strain you receive.
Other disclosed amounts include 100 mg CoQ10, 1,500 mg MSM and 30 mg saffron extract. Several categories remain blends: the 200 mg enzyme/adaptogen/mushroom complex, for example, does not disclose an individual dose or enzyme activity for every component 1. A list of ingredients is useful, but it is not the same as knowing every relevant dose.
There is also a practical labeling mismatch: the product-page directions still describe a 12 g scoop, while the linked Açaí PRO panel specifies a 13.6 g sachet 1. Follow the actual purchased packet and confirm the formula if ordering another flavor. This review does not assume the original powder, every international listing and every flavor have identical serving weights.
What changed from original IM8?
PRO increases B12, vitamin D3, K2, magnesium, MSM and the CRT8 blend and adds saffron. The manufacturer's original-versus-PRO comparison confirms these changes 2. That is more than a packaging refresh.
A trial on an earlier recipe can be relevant background, but it does not automatically establish the effectiveness of an updated mixture. Added ingredients and larger doses do not make every outcome proportionally better. For a gut-health purchase, ask whether the version in your cart has been tested for the symptom that matters to you.

How persuasive is the clinical evidence?
The trial registered as NCT06655597 planned 60 adults over 12 weeks. Prenetics Global, IM8's parent company, is the sponsor. The registry describes random allocation and investigator-only masking; the comparison group continued its usual diet without an intervention 3. Participants would therefore have known whether they were taking a daily supplement. That matters when interpreting self-reported changes.
The registered primary outcome is body morphology, including BMI and circumferences. Secondary outcomes include safety, subjective energy and micronutrient blood levels. The trial registry has no posted results 3. A registration establishes that a study was planned and describes its design. It is not a published results paper or an independent confirmation of an advertisement.
The brand advertises improved digestion, energy, sleep and focus. Without the full report, we cannot inspect the analyzed denominator, missing responses, baseline differences or the difference between groups. A percentage of users who say they improved is less informative than the amount of improvement over a credible comparison group. Expectation, attention and ordinary symptom variation can contribute to a response.
Industry sponsorship does not invalidate a trial. It makes transparent methods, complete reporting and independent replication particularly valuable. In this case, the lack of posted results and the subsequent formulation change keep our confidence in a specific digestive benefit limited.
Probiotics, postbiotics and enzymes: useful distinctions
Probiotic effects depend on the strain, dose and condition studied. NIH notes that a higher CFU count does not necessarily mean a more effective product 4. Research on a different Bacillus strain, or on one ingredient alone, should not be treated as proof that this finished powder relieves constipation or bloating.
The postbiotic is a separate ingredient from the live probiotic complex. Likewise, adding digestive enzymes does not establish that the product treats a diagnosed enzyme deficiency. The words describe categories; they do not answer whether this mixture improves your particular problem. Our strain evidence lookup explains how to compare a named strain with an actual study.
If your main objective is regularity, compare the fiber type, amount, tolerance and cost with simpler options. Our psyllium-versus-inulin guide provides that context. Someone wanting a multivitamin drink may value the broad formula; someone seeking one digestive outcome may find the additional ingredients unnecessary.
Price, renewal timing and refunds
The US offer lists $112 for a one-time 30-serving purchase, $89 every four weeks for the 30-serving subscription, or $235 upfront every 12 weeks for the 90-serving plan. The latter is approximately $2.61 per serving; the other options are about $2.97 and $3.73. These are product costs before any applicable tax 2.
Four-week billing is not calendar-month billing. Similarly, a 90-serving supply billed every 12 weeks renews after 84 days. Use the actual renewal date when budgeting, particularly if you miss servings. The lower per-serving price requires a larger payment at once; dividing it into a monthly equivalent does not create monthly installments.
The product FAQ says subscriptions renew at the same price and can be paused or canceled. It advertises free US shipping and a 90-day guarantee for quarterly subscriptions, but 30 days for monthly subscriptions and one-time purchases 2. Do not assume the largest guarantee applies to every option or every renewal. Refund eligibility is not clear from the advertised guarantee alone. Ask which orders qualify and whether renewals are covered before relying on a refund as the reason to prepay.
Who is it best suited to?
The clearest fit is an adult who wants a broad daily powder, values sachet convenience and accepts an ongoing premium cost. Review the full panel alongside any existing supplements: multiple products can duplicate nutrients without creating a meaningful additional benefit. A pharmacist can assess the complete combination if you take medication.
For pregnancy, significant illness or immune suppression, seek individualized advice before taking a complex formula. NIH specifically highlights additional probiotic safety concerns in seriously ill or immunocompromised people 4. If your concern began during prescription weight management, our probiotics and GLP-1 guide separates supplement claims from medication care.
Our verdict: Essentials Pro is a convenient, relatively transparent broad nutrition product with important blend-level gaps. We would consider it for that convenience, not purchase a long subscription on the assumption that the original trial proves the current formula will solve a digestive symptom.
