The pharmacy behind the medicine
It names its pharmacy. RxSpan MD discloses Belmar Pharmacy, Strive Pharmacy, Epiq Scripts, Casa Pharma Rx as its compounding partners. That matters more here than the price does: a compounded medicine is only as good as the pharmacy that made it, and a company willing to name one is a company you can go and check.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
