Price transparency
What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.
Noom Med makes the most sense if you want help changing eating habits alongside prescription treatment. It offers branded medicines and separate compounded programs, with app lessons, tracking and coaching built around the clinical care. The catch is the choice of subscriptions: a low introductory charge is not the ongoing bill, and medication is included in some plans but charged separately in others.
Noom Med does not pay us. We review it so you can compare it with the programs that do. Disclosure
Noom Med publishes its price before the medical intake — you can see what it costs without handing over your health history first.

The verdict
Noom Med shows a price before the medical intake, but the advertised figure comes with conditions the headline leaves out, or its own terms don't fully back it up. It ranks 58 of 65 on price transparency.
The score beside Noom Med's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

How does Noom Med work?
Choose a treatment route
Distinguish the medication-included programs from telehealth for branded medicines before comparing prices.
Complete your health assessment
A clinician reviews your history. The branded program is generally chat-based, with a video visit required in some versions.
Arrange the prescription
Depending on the plan, an approved prescription goes to a participating delivery pharmacy or your chosen pharmacy. Insurance approval is a separate step.
Use the support and check-ins
Continue the app program and contact your care team for refills or treatment questions. Coaching complements clinical care; it does not replace it.
How much does Noom Med cost?
Branded medication extra; compounded program offers differ by page and billing term; obtain the complete ongoing quote
Branded medication extra; compounded Plus offers differ by page and billing term; obtain the complete ongoing quote
Varies by program and state; compounded programs not available in all 50 states
The public pricing page lists branded-medication telehealth at $39 to start, then $99 per month billed quarterly, with medicine extra. It lists medication-included Microdose, GLP-1 Rx and GLP-1 Rx Plus renewals at $199, $249 and $299 per month respectively, also billed quarterly. Other Noom pages show different offers, so these are plan-specific advertisements rather than one dependable quote for everyone.
- The microdose landing page shows a $79 introductory charge and $179 per month plus tax for the following 12-week subscription, while the pricing page shows a $199 renewal. The homepage also gives a different Plus renewal figure. Confirm the exact checkout terms in writing.
- Quarterly billing means a multi-month charge, even when the advertisement presents a monthly equivalent. The first medication supply and initial subscription can have different lengths.
- For branded treatment, add your pharmacy bill or insurance cost-sharing to the care subscription. Do not treat the $39 introduction as the cost of a GLP-1 prescription.
- Cancel in the app or subscription portal before renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel billing; renewal charges are not refundable.
- Medication-included programs stop offering refunds once a prescription is written. Branded telehealth refunds may be available within seven days of the initial charge only if a clinical visit has not occurred.

What are Noom Med's pros and cons?
Pros
- Nutrition and habit support extend beyond obtaining a prescription
- Branded and compounded pathways give clinically eligible patients different payment options
- The branded care model separates clinical, coordination and coaching responsibilities
- Published refund rules identify the prescription and consultation cutoffs
Cons
- Different public pages advertise different ongoing prices
- Monthly-equivalent headlines can obscure the size of a quarterly charge
- Insurance support cannot guarantee coverage or a particular copay
- Compounded programs use designated pharmacy partners and are not available in every state
The pharmacy behind the medicine
It does not name its pharmacy. Noom Med does not publicly disclose which compounding pharmacy fills its prescriptions. That is common and it is not an accusation — but it does mean the one thing you would most want to verify about a compounded medicine is the one thing you cannot.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
What else do people ask about Noom Med?
Is medication included in Noom Med?
Some programs bundle compounded medication with the subscription. The Telehealth for Branded Meds subscription excludes the pharmacy cost. Choose the route first, then compare its complete bill.
Does Noom offer semaglutide and tirzepatide?
Yes. It describes brand-name semaglutide and tirzepatide treatments as well as separate compounded offerings. A clinician decides whether treatment is suitable; a supplement is not an alternative to a prescription.
Do I need a video appointment?
Not necessarily. Noom describes branded clinical care as asynchronous, with scheduled live visits required in some versions. Ask which format applies to your state and chosen program.
Can I get my money back after canceling?
Cancellation stops future renewal when completed on time; it does not automatically refund a charge. Refund eligibility differs between medication-included treatment and branded telehealth, and closes after the relevant prescription or clinical-visit milestone.
Is Noom Med available everywhere?
Availability depends on the program and state. Noom says its compounded offerings are not available in all 50 states. The general service is for adults; medical eligibility requires the clinician's assessment.
Can I choose the compounding pharmacy?
Noom's compounded semaglutide safety page says that although you may request a pharmacy, its compounded program is available only through designated partners. Ask for the dispensing pharmacy's identity before agreeing to treatment.
