Price transparency
What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.
Midi Health is a virtual menopause and midlife women's health practice, not a GLP-1 shop. A Midi clinician can prescribe a GLP-1 as part of a wider care plan that may also cover hormones, labs and sleep. Visits are billed to most major insurance or paid at $250 and $150, and compounded GLP-1s are a separate charge from $165.90 per 4-week supply, priced by dose.
Midi Health does not pay us. We review it so you can compare it with the programs that do. Disclosure
Midi Health publishes its price before the medical intake — you can see what it costs without handing over your health history first.

The verdict
Midi Health shows its price before the medical intake, but leaves gaps, such as what the advertised price includes or which pharmacy fills the prescription. It ranks 41 of 65 on price transparency.
The score beside Midi Health's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

Midi charges for visits and medicine separately and has no membership fee. With insurance, visits are covered under your plan's copays and deductibles. Self-pay visits cost $250 for the first and $150 for each follow-up. Compounded medicine is priced by dose per 4-week supply, with shipping and supplies included.
- Compounded GLP-1 injection: $165.90 at 0.1 to 0.5 mg, $270.90 at 0.75 to 1.5 mg, $340 at 1.75 to 2 mg and $355 at 2.5 mg, per 4-week supply.
- Compounded GLP-1/GIP injection: $210 at 1.25 to 2.5 mg, $285 at 3.75 to 6.25 mg, $375 at 7.5 to 12.5 mg and $434 at 13.75 to 15 mg, per 4-week supply.
- Under-the-tongue versions: GLP-1 from $164 to $275 and GLP-1/GIP from $209 to $460 per 4-week supply, by dose.
- Prices are per 4-week supply, so a year is 13 refills, not 12. The price rises as your dose goes up.
- Medicare is out of network, and Midi doesn't accept Medicaid or Medi-Cal. HSA and FSA cards work for visits and services.
- Brand-name GLP-1 costs depend on your insurance and the pharmacy's price.
- Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved. The FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they reach patients.

Cons
- Medicine prices climb with dose: the GLP-1 injection goes from $165.90 to $355 per 4 weeks

- Billing is per 4-week supply, so you pay 13 times a year

- Booking a visit doesn't mean you'll be prescribed a GLP-1; Midi treats weight as one part of menopause care
The pharmacy behind the medicine
It does not name its pharmacy. Midi Health does not publicly disclose which compounding pharmacy fills its prescriptions. That is common and it is not an accusation — but it does mean the one thing you would most want to verify about a compounded medicine is the one thing you cannot.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
What else do people ask about Midi Health?
Does Midi Health prescribe GLP-1s for weight loss?
Yes, when a clinician decides it fits. Midi is a menopause and midlife practice, so a GLP-1 is one option in a care plan that can also include hormone therapy, labs and other prescriptions.
How much does a compounded GLP-1 from Midi cost?
The GLP-1 injection starts at $165.90 per 4-week supply at low doses and reaches $355 at 2.5 mg. The GLP-1/GIP injection runs from $210 to $434. Shipping and supplies are included. Visits are billed separately.
Does Midi take insurance?
For visits, yes. Midi is in-network with most PPO plans, and your copay, coinsurance and deductible apply. Medicare is out of network, and Medicaid and Medi-Cal aren't accepted. Without insurance, visits are $250 for the first and $150 for each follow-up.
Is there a membership fee?
No. You pay for visits and for the medicine you're prescribed.
Can Midi prescribe Wegovy or Zepbound?
Yes. Midi prescribes brand-name GLP-1s and sends them to your pharmacy of choice. What you pay depends on your insurance and the drug's price.
Is the compounded medicine FDA-approved?
No. Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved, and the FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. Midi says its compounding pharmacies are licensed 503A pharmacies.
