Price transparency
What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.
LumiMeds advertises low flat monthly prices for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide with clinical support and delivery. Its membership terms are the deciding issue: they describe a fixed financial commitment that remains payable even if you stop mid-term. Consider the advertised $89 semaglutide or $125 tirzepatide rate only after receiving the full term, total obligation and cancellation conditions in writing.
LumiMeds does not pay us. We review it so you can compare it with the programs that do. Disclosure
Public offers are available, but a directly comparable ongoing month-to-month total is not established for both molecules. Read the plan and billing qualifications below.

What do you get with LumiMeds?
- Independent licensed-provider evaluation through a patient-management platform, with a prescription only when the clinician determines that treatment is appropriate.
- Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide as weekly injections, with the clinician directing the dose and any adjustments over time.
- Telehealth consultation, physician support, monthly check-ins and prescription coordination described in the plan catalog, with temperature-controlled medication delivery included.
- An online care process and refill notifications, while independent practitioners and pharmacy partners provide the medical and dispensing services.
- Advertised flat medication-plan rates, subject to the selected plan’s financial commitment, eligibility and governing terms rather than an assumed cancelable monthly purchase.
- Optional other treatment categories, including NAD+, on the same site. These are separate wellness products and are not necessary to compare the GLP-1 care offer.
How does LumiMeds work?
Identify the complete plan obligation
Before focusing on the advertised monthly rate, ask the team to specify the membership duration, total price and payment schedule. A fixed-term plan can be paid in installments while still obligating you to the entire term. Make sure you understand what happens if treatment becomes unsuitable or you decide not to continue.
Complete the clinical assessment
Provide your medical history and current medication details. The platform does not itself prescribe, and paying does not guarantee a prescription. Confirm the clinical practice, consultation format and any needed tests. The clinician should explain the proposed compounded preparation and how ongoing questions or dose changes will be handled.
Confirm the actual prescription and pharmacy
Ask for the dispensing pharmacy, formulation, strength and intended supply before fulfillment. A description of a state-licensed pharmacy is not the same as identifying the compounder for your order. If transferring care, review differences in concentration and added ingredients with your clinician or pharmacist rather than reusing previous injection instructions.
Track check-ins and any billing change
Keep the written plan and stay current with the required follow-up. Contact support well before any renewal or change if you want the arrangement to end. The public membership rules are restrictive; stopping portal use or no longer wanting medicine should not be assumed to erase the remaining financial obligation.
How much does LumiMeds cost?
Advertised $89/mo compounded injection rate; fixed full-term obligation in membership terms; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
Advertised $125/mo compounded injection rate; fixed full-term obligation in membership terms; ongoing month-to-month total not established.
Company advertises limited or treatment-dependent access: US states where service is offered; exact medication/pharmacy availability must be confirmed
The current product catalog advertises compounded semaglutide at $89 monthly and compounded tirzepatide at $125 monthly, described as flat rates. Those public rates do not establish a freely cancelable month-to-month total: the membership terms require a fixed full-term financial commitment, paid upfront or in installments as specified at purchase. Get the total commitment and duration before choosing either plan.
- Product pages describe clinical review, support and medication delivery within the offer. The company’s Luminate Ventures LLC terms separately govern the membership and make the full-term payment obligation explicit.
- The terms say mid-term termination does not remove outstanding payments and generally exclude proration or refunds once the commitment starts. A monthly installment should therefore not be mistaken for the right to leave after paying only one month.
- The cancellation section describes a $100 deduction from an otherwise applicable refund for cancellation other than prescription denial. That is a contingent cancellation cost, not a standard additional monthly medical fee.
- Although advertising describes a price lock, membership terms reserve pricing changes with at least 28 days’ notice. Obtain the protection and rate for your actual plan in writing rather than assuming a marketing headline overrides the contract.
- Eligibility requires being in a state where LumiMeds offers the service. A complete current medication-by-state list and named dispensing pharmacy are not established here; confirm both for your prescription. The membership is not insurance.

What are LumiMeds's pros and cons?
Pros
- The product catalog states the two molecule-specific advertised rates
- Clinical support and delivery are described within the plans
- Membership terms identify the operating company and financial obligation
Cons
- The full committed balance can remain due after stopping participation
- Marketing flexibility should not be assumed from monthly wording
- Conditional refund deductions and pricing-change provisions deserve attention
The pharmacy behind the medicine
It does not name its pharmacy. LumiMeds does not publicly disclose which compounding pharmacy fills its prescriptions. That is common and it is not an accusation — but it does mean the one thing you would most want to verify about a compounded medicine is the one thing you cannot.
A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.
What is on the public record
FDA warning letter
FDA issued a warning letter to Lumimeds in September 2025. It is on the public record in FDA's warning-letter database.
The scoring method includes a deduction for a letter on record. This notice records the agency's letter and its date; funding is disclosed separately.
What else do people ask about LumiMeds?
Are $89 and $125 month-to-month prices?
Those are the public advertised monthly rates for the semaglutide and tirzepatide plans, but the membership terms require a fixed-term financial commitment. Installments do not remove that obligation. Ask for the length, total payable and renewal before comparing the offer with a provider that lets you buy only one month.
What does the plan include?
The catalog describes telehealth consultation, provider support, prescription coordination and monthly check-ins, while product pages include temperature-controlled medication delivery. Confirm the exact selected order and any outside testing. A broad wellness catalog does not mean other therapies or supplements are part of your prescription plan.
Can I stop if treatment is not working for me?
Clinical concerns should go to the prescriber promptly, but ending treatment and ending payment are separate questions. Membership terms say the remaining committed balance stays payable after mid-term termination. Get written clarification about the specific medical circumstance rather than assuming that stopping medication automatically releases the financial commitment.
When is the $100 cancellation charge relevant?
The cancellation section says a $100 amount may be deducted from an applicable refund when you cancel for reasons other than prescription denial, with further case-by-case language. It is not an extra fee charged to every routine monthly order. Confirm the relevant refund amount and order stage before expecting money back.
Is the advertised price locked forever?
The site uses price-lock language, while its membership terms reserve pricing changes with advance notice. That tension makes the selected contract important. Ask which written provision protects your price, for how long and through what changes; do not treat a homepage phrase as an unconditional lifetime rate guarantee.
Who prescribes and fills the medication?
Luminate Ventures LLC doing business as LumiMeds operates the patient-management platform. Independent practitioners provide medical care, and pharmacy partners fill prescriptions. Ask for those entities and confirm state eligibility. The platform footer expressly says payment does not guarantee a prescription or that a pharmacy will dispense it.

How it compares
LumiMeds ranks 187 of 293 on our price-transparency score. Every prescription GLP-1 program we review is scored on the same question: can you see the price before you hand over your health history? The full list is on the prescription GLP-1 review index.
