Price transparency

What is disclosed before intake, not a clinical rating.

Cora is an online platform connecting patients with independent prescribers for compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. Its pricing page clearly separates the ordinary monthly rates, $175 and $225, from longer prepaid plans. The main tradeoff is financial flexibility: a low annual equivalent comes with advance payment, and canceling a longer plan can reprice medicine already received at the shorter quarterly rate.

The verdict

Cora Health shows its price before the medical intake and is clear about what that price covers and what conditions come with it. It ranks 30 of 293 among the programs we review on price transparency.

The score beside Cora Health's name rates how much it tells you before the medical intake — the price, the pharmacy and the terms — not how cheap it is.

What do you get with Cora Health?

  • Independent licensed-provider evaluation and monitoring, with prescriptions determined by the clinician rather than issued directly by the Cora technology platform.
  • Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide injection plans, with the advertised price unchanged across prescribed doses within the respective plan.
  • Medication, consultation, expedited shipping, provider monitoring and support described as included in the standard plan price without a separate listed membership charge.
  • A choice of monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual billing, each with its own upfront amount and automatic-renewal date.
  • Pharmacy fulfillment through US-licensed compounding partners; the plans page specifically names Hallandale Pharmacy and VialsRx as examples.
  • Portal messaging for care-team contact and billing changes. Other compounded wellness memberships are separate purchases with independent billing and cancellation.

How does Cora Health work?

  1. Compare the same payment term

The monthly option is the easiest baseline for a budget comparison. Cora also lists three-, six- and twelve-month plans whose equivalents look lower because more treatment is paid in advance. Read the total charge alongside the shipment schedule, and decide how much prepaid money you can accept having tied to a medicine you have not yet tried.

  2. Complete the clinical assessment

Provide accurate history and current prescriptions, then let the independent provider determine treatment. Ask about the actual formula, pharmacy and follow-up process. A standard price at every dose does not give the patient permission to select or escalate the dose independently, and clinical review can still lead to a recommendation not to prescribe.

  3. Understand how the supply is delivered

The refund policy says monthly plans ship one month at a time and quarterly plans as one three-month supply. Six- and twelve-month purchases ship in three-month batches. This matters because medication becomes nonrefundable once prepared and labeled; the amount already committed to fulfillment can be larger than the portion you have used.

  4. Manage renewal or pause before preparation

Message the care team in the patient portal or email support if you need to stop or pause. A pause has a chosen restart date, when billing and shipments resume. Keep confirmation and check which of any separate memberships are affected. Discuss treatment interruption with your clinician as well as handling the subscription change.

How much does Cora Health cost?

Semaglutide

$175/mo standard monthly compounded injection plan, care and shipping included; $99/mo annual equivalent requires $1,188 upfront.

Tirzepatide

$225/mo standard monthly compounded injection plan, care and shipping included; $135/mo annual equivalent requires $1,620 upfront.

Where it operates

Company advertises limited or treatment-dependent access: Exact current medication, pharmacy and state eligibility requires confirmation; no blanket state list established

Standard monthly prices are $175 for compounded semaglutide and $225 for compounded tirzepatide. Three-month totals are $435 and $597; six-month totals $720 and $1,050; annual totals $1,188 and $1,620. The annual $99/$135 monthly equivalents require the full annual purchase. These term-specific prices should remain separate from ordinary monthly billing.

  • The plans page describes consultation, medicine, ongoing monitoring, expedited shipping and support in one plan price, with the same rate across prescribed doses. Optional other medication memberships are separate and can renew on different dates.
  • Plans renew automatically until canceled. Portal messaging or an email to the care team can stop renewal or arrange a pause; the policy asks that you act before the next shipment is prepared.
  • For six- or twelve-month cancellations, delivered doses are valued at the listed quarterly price for the medication and the rest is refunded when eligible. Completing less of the long plan can therefore remove its long-term discount.
  • Prepared and labeled medication is not returnable or refundable. A quarterly supply is fully delivered once prepared, while eligible later three-month batches on longer plans can still be considered in the refund calculation.
  • The policy provides a full refund before the first shipment is prepared or after medical ineligibility. Damage or missing-delivery concerns have a 24-hour reporting requirement. Confirm current state and pharmacy eligibility for your specific preparation.

What are Cora Health's pros and cons?

Pros

  • Pricing states both full-term totals and monthly alternatives
  • Refund rules explain how delivered supply affects longer plans
  • The site names example compounding pharmacies and separates clinical responsibility

Cons

  • Early exit from a long plan can erase its discount
  • Prepared supply can become nonrefundable before it is used
  • Separate wellness memberships require separate billing management

The pharmacy behind the medicine

It names its pharmacy. Cora Health discloses Hallandale Pharmacy, VialsRx as its compounding partners. That matters more here than the price does: a compounded medicine is only as good as the pharmacy that made it, and a company willing to name one is a company you can go and check.

A compounded drug is mixed to order by a pharmacy rather than manufactured and released as a finished product, so the FDA has not reviewed the specific preparation you are prescribed for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of every compounded program, including the highest-scoring ones.

What else do people ask about Cora Health?

What does Cora cost month to month?

The standard plans list $175 for compounded semaglutide and $225 for compounded tirzepatide, billed monthly. Medication, consultation, monitoring, expedited shipping and support are described as included. Longer terms cost less per equivalent month but require larger upfront purchases, so compare the full payment schedule rather than the smallest advertised figure.

How much do annual plans cost upfront?

The annual semaglutide plan is $1,188 and the annual tirzepatide plan $1,620. Their $99 and $135 monthly equivalents do not mean twelve independently cancelable monthly installments. Medication is supplied in quarterly batches, and early cancellation can revalue delivered doses at the quarterly rate before any refund is calculated.

Can I cancel a prepaid plan?

Yes, you can ask the care team to stop future shipments and renewals, but the refund depends on what has already been prepared. Six- and twelve-month plans reprice received doses at the quarterly rate. A three-month shipment becomes nonrefundable once prepared and labeled, even if you have not used the full supply.

How does a pause work?

Contact the care team through the portal to arrange it and select a restart date. The policy says billing does not renew while paused, then billing and shipments restart on the selected date. Confirm how a pause affects your specific prepaid shipment and keep the date so a planned pause does not become an unexpected renewal.

What pharmacies does Cora use?

The plan FAQ names Hallandale Pharmacy and VialsRx among US-licensed compounding partners. Ask which pharmacy is assigned to you and what formula it will dispense. A general partner list does not guarantee a particular pharmacy, additive or state-specific product, and Cora itself does not manufacture the medication.

Are lifestyle tools already included?

The plans page describes a lifestyle offering as coming at launch. Do not base today’s purchase on a future feature being available now. The current standard plan’s clearly described core is medication, consultation, monitoring, shipping and support. Confirm any additional nutrition or movement service you expect before enrolling.
